Philosophy  Majestic Ranch Academy is designed to help young men build character, acquire self discipline, develop stamina, increase self esteem, and to learn appreciation of others. The Majestic Ranch Academy is located on the Utah side of the Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah border in the rural community of Randolph.

We specialize in the treatment of preteen and early teen boys experiencing conduct and behavior problems.

Recreation  On and off grounds activities provide a proper balance of recreation, exercise, learning, personal devlopment and social opportunities. Initially all activities are on grounds. Over a period of time boys may earn the privilege of participating in off grounds activities. Majestic Ranch Academy is located 20 miles southeast of scenic Bear Lake with all of it's summer and winter recreation.

Within forty minutes there is fantastic skiing, and only a few hours away are Grand Teton and Yellow-stone Parks. The summer is full of diffrent activities, bike riding, camping and hiking. The winter is also filled with winter sports, inside recreation, and local sporting events.

TASKS  (Teen Accountabilty, Self-Esteem and Keys to Success) Students participate in a series of seminars designed specifically for Majestic Ranch Academy. During the TASKS seminars and workshops, boys work on specific issues such as: accountability, honesty, integrity, trust, choices, responsibility, anger and especially self-esteem.

After the boy has complted his series of seminars then the parents are invited to attend a Parent Seminar and two Parent/Child Seminars, Parent/ Child seminars are designed to assist each family in rebuilding the family unit.

Education  Majestic Ranch Academy has an extremely progressive academic program. Because of small classes and low teacher to student ratio, students can complete courses on a accelerated basis. The Academic program is accredited by Nort Western Accreditation. The cirriculum is individualized and competency based, allowing students to work at their own pace and maximize the learning process. Students are not held back by other boys in the class, lesson plans, teachers' schedules, course offerings, or class availabilty. Each student is assessed upon admission and then assisted in a specific course of study.

Behavior Modification  At Majestic Ranch Academy, your boy will receive excellent care. We believe in changing behavior in the boys early years in small groups, healthy enviroment and with boys similar to their own age. High standards exist. Inappropriate behavior is confronted, consequented and redirected, while appropriate behavior is reinforced and rewarded. A merit system is used requring each boy to earn his status and privileged through a standard program using a level system.

Ranch Life  Ten miles north of Randolph is our 2,000 acre ranch. Here the boys learn a variety of vocational skills, love and respect for animals, and a good work ethic. On our working ranch the boys participate in sheep herding, cattle drives, horseback riding, lambing, and various other ranch life experiences. The boys coould have the privilege of owning and caring for their own animals.

Growing and Winning  The combination of ranch enviroment, behavior modification, TASKS, education, emotional growth courses, activities and daily structure assists the boys in making new choices in their lives. Working together with our parents, as a team, is a key component to the success of the Program. Families have frequent phone contact with their son's case manager, and when appropriate, the boy is included. Communication with the family is instrumental in adressing issues, creating a family purpose and vision, reaching understandings, and setting goals. Commitment to each boy and his family is one of the reasons Majestic Ranch Academy is so successful.
